As cold dressing (bún): Let rice vermicelli soak in boilling water and cook for about 5 to 6 minutes, stir occasionally, flush rice vermicelli with cold water or tap water for 1 minute, drain and let it sit for 30 minutes, then it can be served as cold dressing. 2. For fried vermicelli: Heat up water to 100°C, then pour hot water into a container, let rice vermicelli soak in hot water for about 4 to 5 minutes, stir occasionally, flush rice vermicelli with cold water or tap water for 1 minute, drain and then it can be used for frying.
